Hey guys, here’s a five page preview for the comic I’m working on, Abstract 3.
abstract3comic:
Abstract 3 is a creator owned one shot written by Seth Jacob and illustrated by Ramon Villalobos.
The Abstract 3 is a superhero team that specializes in dealing with abstract threats that are surreal and incomprehensible. Dr. Abstract, Lady Plasma, and The Mass are the founders and sole share holders of a multi-billion dollar corporation that produces comics, cartoons, and films based on their superheroics…but a strange being from beyond space and time reveals that Dr. Abstract’s incredible success as CEO of Abstract 3 Incorporated is not what it seems.
News on how you can read Abstract 3 and more preview images will be up soon.
EMBRACE ABSTRACTION
A sketch prompted by a late night twitter call out. If you don’t follow me on twitter, you should so I don’t draw things like the Maxx and I draw things that like… you want to see me draw. That’s just an idea. I’ve not read The Maxx but Sam Keith is my friend’s favorite artist ever so I went to a rare signing of his and stood in the cold for something like 5 hours with him because that’s the kind of pal I am. Sam Keith was nice enough though. He’s a Stockton native too which is where I live.
Party dudes, they’re all the same.
This guy’s cool but he’s kind of rude.
Bola and Kid Sling. Got to do this as a commission. Its so fun to draw my own characters and have someone think they’re cool enough to pay for them. Thanks Dennis.
Been off Tumblr because I’ve been super busy lately and was surprised and grateful to see that people have been liking and reblogging my stuff in my absense. That’s pretty cool. Thanks so much everyone. But if any of you have wondered where I’ve been, I’ve been working like hell on getting this comic I’m doing with my friend Curt Pires (rhymes with hurt fires) on a project (I’m calling comics projects now) called L.P. It’s going to be a lot of fun and assuming this doesn’t completely turn you off and make you unfollow me, you’ll definitely be seeing more about this book in the new future. Thanks again!
I did this drawing of Ryan Ferrier’s Tiger Lawyer. I had initially wanted to have this done for the first issue but I’m horrible with loose deadlines. This time he gave me a more concrete due date and so here we are. If you want to know why Tiger Lawyer is playing tennis, I don’t know what to tell you. He’s got too much swag to only be wearing suits.
