Okay so in Adventure Comics 313, all the female legionnaires contract a mysterious and lethal Crimson Virus by a superpowered girl in a leather bodysuit named Satangirl. Satangirl happened to be the result of Supergirl flying through time and passing through some Red Kryptonite and splitting into two separate bodies for a short period of time. The secondary consciousness realized that unless she killed Supergirl, she would die so she made it her mission to destroy Supergirl within 24 hours lest her own separate identity be completely destroyed when she merged back into Supergirl prime. It drives her crazy and turns her into a hateful nihilistic version of Supergirl who has all of her powers, memories, and knowledge of “superscience” but that also is hellbent on destroying everything.

Obviously, at the end of the issue, Satangirl falls short and merges back into the less interesting Supergirl and I guess her consciousness disappearsinto the void? There were a lot of heavy questions raised by this story. This is me appreciating that. Poor Satangirl. She just wanted to live.
